We want to thank all of you who responded to our plea. And with such enthusiasm! Unfortunately, Columbia’s Patient Education Day cannot allow ALL of us in on a free pass (we tried). We truly hope that you all have the means to register (it’s not too late) and join our talk with the teens! It’s this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. (I know. We are the event’s opening act, so bring a cup of strong coffee) until 10:00 a.m. The rest of the day contains interesting medical and nutrition related talks as well as plenty of gf food vendors who hand out free samples. Lunch will also be served. Click here to register and view the program. Thanks again. We look forward to meeting you all and hearing your positive input.

Hello Celiac Chicks,
I think your blog is wonderful. I’ve tried emailing but can’t seem to get in touch with you.
I have both Type 1 diabetes and gluten intolerance — the dynamic duo which I’ve found to be more common than you might think.
Check me out at http://www.diabetesmine.com.
Thanks,
AmyT

I really wish I lived on the other side of the country so I could attend this!
Good luck, and thank you : )
Hi Chicks,
Gluten intolerance is a HOT TOPIC on the Elderhostel website–so far, my comments (and replies from readers) about gf travel have had more than 2,000 hits! Elderhostel is a travel organization geared toward mostly older people. Their website is http://www.elderhostel.org
Thanks, Chicks, for all you are doing to make more people aware of gluten intolerance.
