Eileen Mohan, nutritionist at Ridgewood Whole Foods, tipped us off that tomorrow the 22nd they will be sampling the new bakery products 12pm-2pm and 4pm-6pm. All the stores will eventually be having these samplings so call your local store to find out when they plan to do so.
And remember, if you need to rationalize taking a second sample, you can have a bite for me and Kim since we can’t make it!

I bought two GF items from WF. The Scones were not good. The pizza crust, however, is fantastic.

the union square and columbus circle whole foods’ are now well stocked w/gf baked goods. i agree about the scones – dry and tasteless – but the brownies are to die for, the Prarie bread (esp. toasted) is delicious and the bluberry muffins are sinful. its a good news/bad news thing: great to have delicious product but it’s all extremely high in fat and calories.
Hi from Wheaton, Illinois. Our Whole Foods just opened the gf bakery section as well…I purchased the pizza crusts which were excellent, the prairie bread which was a bit dry but good toasted, and the choc. chip cookies which tasted, “Totally real”. Fun to have lots of options but I still think that ‘Cause you’re Special mixes are THE BEST!!! Also, I’ve loved baking with almond flour and have gotten tons of recipes from web sites under the heading, specific carbohydrate diet…healthier too…Never ran into your friend at Steamboat…How do I get a t-shirt? LJ Ever tried a LARABAR? They are wonderful!!!
