They’re at it again! My buds Tryg and Vanessa of Feel Good Foods are restless!  Gluten-free chicken and waffles anyone? 😉

You’re invited….

You might be asking, “What’s a pop up restaurant?” It’s a temporary restaurant that “pops up” for only a short time and then disappears.  It’s the fun, hip and now thing going on.  Things are always more exciting when they aren’t always available, right?

And no need to worry about eating gluten-free safely…Tryg and Vanessa are pros, Vanessa is celiac, they have their own gluten-free food line and they used to own Friedman’s Lunch in Chelsea Market. When it comes to serving you safe gluten-free food, they know what they are doing.

I sure wish there were more cruelty-free options in the gluten-free world. A pop-up restaurant free of meat, eggs, and dairy would really be something to brag about… and something I’d feel comfortable supporting and nomming!

Ok now you’ve officially made me HUNGRY, which is amazing since I accidently got glutened today. The menu looks amazing although I’m sure they would serve the waffle w/o the chicken IF you’re so inclined. Or just have the pancakes. Personally I like it all & it’s SAFE! Thanks for sharing…wish I was in the area.

      Jennifer says:

waffles and pancakes (and GF versions of gluteny foods in general) are made with eggs and dairy. eggs are an unfortunate staple for gluten substitution even though there’s a diverse range of plant-based foods that will do the job.

Jennifer, I respect and admire you for being vegan, but please don’t judge others when they choose to eat animal products. At least here, I try to keep this space friendly for everyone. Thanks…

ps: I only buy organic, free range meats and eggs 🙂

      Jennifer says:

I’m not sure what came out as disrespectful because I was being genuine and serious. I’d like to clarify if anything came across as disrespectful….

        Kelly says:

Hey Jen…maybe I sounded too harsh…sorry…I just felt the convo was headed in a negative direction toward meat eaters. Could have been my misinterpretation. I do want everyone to be able to speak freely. And I truly believe everyone is entitled to their opinion. Sorry if I over reacted. It could be due to the previous use of the term “cruelty-free” by someone else and then I misinterpreted your use of the term regarding eggs as a “unfortunate staple”. You are right…especially for people with egg allergies!

I just didn’t want anyone else to feel like they were being labeled as cruel if they ate meat or animal products and/or served them.

Personally I would love to be vegan, but my body runs better on organic, free range animal protein combined with a lot of veg. I turn into a monster when I can’t eat enough protein! 😉
