Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals
So, you can imagine that if I had a hard time finding skin creams without vitamin e or shea in them, then I had a horrible time finding base makeup that I could wear.
I was SO excited when I found Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals foundation. It’s natural, full of good stuff, and doesn’t have the ingredients that irritate my skin! And it looks great! It’s light coverage…just what I need, plus the added benefits of minerals without the drawback of breathing them in while using a loose powder form!

It is so much easier to take good photos of food! Please excuse the crappy photos.
It’s not drugstore cheap, but I was so happy to find it I didn’t care. It runs around $40+, but just a dab will do ya, so it lasts a really long time. For my light skin I fluctuate between Light Beige in summer and Amber in Winter. It’s not that big of a difference, though. I highly recommend finding a local retailer where you can try the colors out and find the perfect match for your skin.
Here is their vegan and gluten product info page. Products containing wheat are listed at the bottom. The foundation does contain oat kernel extract, so if you know you are sensitive to that, then this may not work for you.
If you’ve found any great gluten-free foundation makeup, please share with us all in the comments below. Thx!

I never knew about the issue with wheat and Vitamin E! Plus I didn’t know that there is oat kernel in Jane Iredale. I use a brand of make-up called “Tarte” which I buy from Ulta
Cosmetics in their retail store. Since I don’t have HD, I don’t have any rash or skin problems. I use Mabelline mascara and just recently noticed my eyes were itching one day but not others so I assume that was from some airborne pollen. Tarte makeup is expensive, but then so are the other GF products. I really need a lip balm or lipstick (not Burt’s Bees though) that is GF. I am 65 and discovered I had Celiac 3 years ago. Thanks everyone for all the good info. !
