I don’t know about you, but often I feel like I’m not getting enough fiber. I’m comfortable talking about this, because I know we all have experience discussing stomach and intestine stories with others. So, now I like to take extra good care of my tummy and overall health. Think about it .. our bellies took quite a beating before the gluten-free diet prescription. Fiber can be hard to come by in available gf breads and cereals. Unless you have the time to bake your own rice bran laden goods, you might not be getting enough fiber. I have experimented with fiber supplements over the years, and most have proven to be too harsh with, let’s just say, uncomfortable results. However, I’m now happy to share my discovery of Super Seed, "Beyond Fiber", from Garden of Life. It’s perfect for us because its fiber source comes strictly from various seeds and legumes, which also supply Omega 3 fatty acids and protein. AND it tastes great, mixed with your favorite juice. Remember, always introduce extra fiber into your diet gradually, and drink plenty of water. The end result is a happy gastrointestinal tract, from top to bottom.
I buy Super Seed at The Vitamin Shoppe, and have spotted it at most health food stores.

Thanks Kim for the evaluation of this product- yes no gluten bread usually equals the need for replacement fiber and just anything will not work for me either- cann’t wait to give this a shot LOL! Susan
Hi, I would like to recommend two gluten-free products that contain fiber. One is Glutino Flax Seed Bread, which I love and the other is Enjoy Life Foods Cinnamon Crunch Granola.
Thanks for your great newsletter!

Just wanted to say that this product does look interesting. BTW, plain flax seed is packaged in various ways and is high in fiber.
Fruits and veggies are a gluten-free way to get fiber, too.
And thanks for your enlightening, gluten-free info updates!
Thank you so much! I have been searching for something like this for a while.
You’re website is great, by the way.
i just bought this and while reading the back label (near the drug/nutrition facts) at the bottom says it contains molasses. isn’t some molasses made with flour? the product does not say gluten-free…does the company claim that?
thanks.

Jake-
Molasses are gluten free .. it’s a syrup made from boiling down sugar cane. As for Garden of Life’s claims, they tell me that none of their products contain gluten. However, they don’t make this statement official because their facility handles products from other suppliers that may contain gluten. We’ve not had a problem, but I suppose you should be careful if you’re super duper sensitive.
I have concerns regarding Garden of Life’s claim that Super Seed does not gluten but that their facility handles products from other suppliers that may contain gluten. I was diagnosed only 3 years ago with Celiac Disease and I’m still learning everyday about this disease…. but in some of the research it indicates that complete compliance with a gluten free diet is necessary for those of us that are Celiac….. if risk exists from an outside supplier, what difference would it make if we are senisitve or not to the small trace of gluten that may exist. With a 100% compliance rule, whether or not we are senitive should not make a differene. Some of the most at risk individudals are those that are not symptomatic. I’ve purcahsed this product and I am going to try it….(things such as FiberCon,which the manufacturer says is gluten free, have had unpleasant side effects..)… although I would be very interested on your perspective regarding my concerns. I’m so new at this and welcome any help from those that have a much greater breadth of information. All set aside, I still have questions…. my support group is so very strict and will only adhere to a 100% compliance point of view.
I’ve found your website to be so very helpful. Your positve attitudes have helped me cope. I live in a very remote area on the edge of the Adirondack Park in very upstate New York.

The Garden of life product mentioned here contains quinoa, amaranth and millet, all of which have gluten in them, so, I don’t understand at all how they can claim that this is a gluten free product?
I also got serious problems form using their probiotics. When I’d stop taking them my stomach would completely freak out. I don’t like to be that dependent on any supplement so I quit them.
Lisa,
I’m not sure why you say quinoa, amaranth and millet have gluten in them. They are listed as gluten-free alternatives in every reputable celiac handbook I’ve read. Please explain. It’s true that other grains like rice contains “gluten”, but not the same type of gluten that’s found in wheat, rye, spelt and barley, which is damaging to those with celiac disease.

Thank you! there is no way I am getting the amount of fiber needed, so any little bit can help!
I was diagnosed with Celiac disease about 4 years ago. Not being able to eat whole wheat items it became very difficult for me to get all on the fiber that I wanted and needed in my diet. I started researching to find out what I could eat or take to supplement for lack of these items. I came across this the Lady Soma Fiber Cleanse 3 and a half years ago and have been using it ever since. Its actually a fiber supplement.
It helps keep me full and keeps me regular! This is a great product! I love it!!! I started to look online and was ecstatic when I found it for a fraction of the cost! This is a great product I can not rave about it enough! Worth the cost and short wait for a fairly quick delivery! Love love love love this product! Good luck
