Yes, Erica, Kelly, fellow Celiacs…Gourmet Land is coming back. Not to let the cat out of the bag, but we (Liz, Erin, myself) are organizing with them a big NYC Meetup in the coming 2 weeks to make an official announcement. We’ve also been working with the owners to update their GF menu. More details soon!

Wow! That’s great. So how do you think they compare to Lilli & Loo’s? I’m writing about them right now.

Hey Kelly, the two are definitely different! In my estimation Gourmet Land has a slightly wider variety of GF selections, more classics like GF eggrolls & GF dumplings. Lilli and Loo is also wonderful, and has a great mix of GF dishes (I love their Borneo Chicken and Singapore Noodles). Lilli and Loo seem to be a little more focused on the higher end (“Asian Ratatouille” and sushi) vs Gourmet Land which is trying to recreate many of the much loved standard american-chinese dishes many of us miss. Manhattan-wide delivery is also a major plus for people like myself who eat at least half their meals from some form of delivery. There’s definitely room on this island for both!
