Looking for a snack bar that packs a little more of a protein punch without a lot of Frankenfood ingredients? You might want to try The Simply Bar.
What is The Simply Bar? A healthy protein bar with over 16 grams of protein and under 160 calories! The Simply Bar was designed by a gastroenterologist and Cathy Richards, a woman with Crohn's. It was created to be an easy to digest protein bar— no gluten, no milk, low in sugar and fat. The bar is now super popular in Canada and enjoyed by all sorts of people, including athletes and others that just want a natural, low calorie protein bar. The bars are sweetened with organic agave nectar and contain fair trade organic cocoa. They are also kosher and vegan!
The makers of The Simply Bar would like to give away 10 sample boxes of Simply Bars! Each box has 10 bars (2 of each flavour) and a retail value of almost $30!

Hey Kelly — these GF bars actually look good! And I’m pretty picky about my trail bars. Please ask the Simply Bar people to start selling them out here in the wild west! Oooh, the Lemon Coconut one for sure!
Melissa
Melissa- YES, they taste amazing!
These really look scrumptous…lemon please!
What more could you ask for??? The description of the simply bar sounds wonderful as it is. I would not change a thing. Sandy Naim
Again another great find!! I don’t know what I would do if I never found your website..even if I don’t win I think i’ll order some, there perfect for an on the go snack.
These do look great! I have never heard of them and would love to try them.
Hey Kelly,
These bars look really good. I am interested in trying them, but how do I get the free sample?
Thanks,
Katy
sounds good.
It would be great to have a convenient and healthy gluten free snack. Something better than grabbing a bag of Fritos when I am hungry and on the go.
I would love to try these.
These look great, except for the soy protein. Ever notice just how many vegan products are soy? Soy is one of the top 7 allergens. Many Celiacs are dairy intolerant (lactose or casein). There is also a cross-correlation with dairy and soy intolerance. Why not use rice protein- it’s also low carb, gluten free and vegan friendly. I avoid even most processed gluten-free products because of the soy thing- it seems prevalent in GF stuff.
I think your bars look delicious. I can’t even imagine a bar that tastes good and is healthy for me too. I would love to try each one, but the raspberry flavor might be a favorite….
look great, taste great, super idea!
Sounds yummy. Are they good for toddlers too? My Granddaughter loves healthy snacks.
I also find the use of soy in GF and GFCF products incredibly frustrating and unbelievably prevalent.
Doctors suspected celiac disease when I was a child, but we still have not been able to confirm it. I do feel better removing gluten from the diet. These bars would be helpful to me and my son-in-law, who suffers dearly from celiac disease.
Nice comments, people. I just hope that you are also emailing the contact under the directions, and not thinking that the contest is within the comments. Just a frienly reminder!
This sounds great. I can’t wait to try them.
I would love to try these when i jog everyday.
Hi- I am so thrilled by all the interest in The Simply Bar!
I just wanted to comment on using soy as a protein. The reason that we use soy is that we designed the bars for people with digestive problems. Milk and gluten are two of the key things that people with IBS and IBD should avoid. Plus we preferred vegetarian ingredients and worried about hormones and antibiotics. This ruled out whey protein and left soy, rice, hemp proteins. Soy is a complete vegetarian protein- i.e. has all the amino acids that we need. Rice does not.
Soy flour can cause gas and bloating due to the oligosaccharides in the soy (the type of carb in soy that is hard to break down). The Simply Bar uses only the soy protein so does not have this problem.
The bar is designed to be absorbed in the upper gut so people with some pretty serious stomach problems (Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, HIV) are able to eat the bars with no pain, cramping or bloating.
I have a bit more about this on the website if you are interested: http://www.wellnessfoods.ca/faq3.html
All ingredients have pros and cons. From our perspective non genetically modified soy is the best protein option out there.
Again, really thrilled about the interest! Sorry for the long post! Shoot me an email if you have any other questions. cathy@wellnessfoods.ca
I first look at the sugar content of all foods of this nature. Second I will see if they have fiber. Then I look at the vitamin content.
These health bars seem to fit these reqirements.
I look foreward to evaluating their taste.
Please consider this entry.
Thank you
I’d like to try these.
Thank you for having this great giveaway! I am very pleased to read your clear and informative response about the use of soy protein. My best friend Jimmy has HIV-I’m always looking for something to help keep his weight up!
Great give away. I am trying to eat organic and au natural whenever possible.
I am also trying to eliminate most gluten from my diet. These bars look great!!!
Hi, when I started to work out I looked for a nice protein bar to take before my training, because often I have no time to eat before. But i could not find a gluten free bar. So now I hope that this bar is in Swedish stores soon.
