Just for fun let’s do a meme.  I was recently tagged by Cat at Gluten Free Guide.

Here are seven random facts about me:

1) I’m the only girl out of four boys in my family. I’ve earned the title Princess/Tomboy.
2) I once was on stage with Chris Isaac!!!!
3) I used to be a sugarholic.
4) My mom once gave me a Tennille haircut, but it really looked more like a bowl.
5) I was a nanny for six years.
6) I can’t stand ketchup or mustard, but I love mayo.
7) I have two books signed by Art Buchwald.

I’m tagging new gluten-free blogger Gluten Free For Good.

Oh – I was going to tag you – I was just tagged for this, too. ;) Chris Isaak? Cool. Steve bought tickets to see Chris on Cape Cod – for my 50th birthday. We had front row seats. It was an amazing concert. (Were you one of the ladies invited up on stage to dance around him near the end of the show? He likes to do this…Do tell.) xoxo Karina

Heh Heh…YES!! That’s what I left out! I was so excited to get on stage…and then when I saw they were all dirty dancing around him the hsp in me freaked out and I froze and then discreetly scooted off the stage! The friend I was with said it was the funniest thing watching while he knew what was going through my head.

Is Chris Isaac as cute in person as he is on TV? I love his show, but have never seen him in person.

Thanks for being a good sport! Where were you a nanny? Are you excited about the Nanny Diaries movie? The book was hilarious.

    Cat-
I was a nanny in Portland Oregon, NYC and Pelham Manor NY. Both NY jobs were live-in and very strange. I kept saying “I could write a book…” and sure enough somebody else did! So, of course I’m excited about the movie because the book captured the neuroticism perfectly!

    The Portland jobs were lovely.

    Fab Grandma-
Yes, Chris is cute, charismatic and of course his music makes you swoon. However, the few comments about his conquests on the road and the dirty dancing on stage with a harem got me over my crush. Perhaps because it was such a contrast to his lyrics about, what seems to me, more romantic love.

Thanks for the tag, Kelly. And the support. :-) Hopefully I half-way figured out the meme thing (I “thinkmapped” it on my blog this morning). I tagged dear Gordon, the Breadless Horseman (he just finished his thru-hike, yeah!). Melissa

Hmmm? Well, I know Gordon is raising money for celiac awareness somewhere (oops). I just made a generic change on my blog. I’ll find out. But anyway, his mom says he emerged from the woods in high spirits.

    From Oregon to NYC? Wow.

Kelly! Too funny. I linked to your eight (and included my own Chris Isaak concert experience). ;)

Hey Kelly — I did a beer post today. I’m not a beer drinker (now I know why it always made me sick in college), but my celiac daughter is and she filled me in on what’s good in the world of GF beer. Thought you young city girls might be interested. :-)
