Corn-Free Marshmallows

corn-free marshmallows

Oh my, oh my, oh my!!!!

AllerEnergy has corn-free marshmallows!!!!!!!

And my corn-free people know how hard it is to find gluten-free and corn-free food, so this is a very special treat. Regular marshmallows are all made with corn syrup, but AllerEnergy corn-free marshmallows are made with sugar and brown rice syrup. AND, they are made in a dedicated corn-free, gluten-free and allergen-free facility!

I’m actually ashamed to tell you this…

but I’ve known about these for quite some time now. The problem is, I ordered them…and then ate them all.

More than once.

I can’t be trusted around them.

I wasn’t a crazy marshmallow fiend before I went gluten-free or corn-free, but evidently now that I can’t have them camping…or in hot chocolate…Marshmallow Creme…I guess I really did have a thing for them on the rare occasion that I did indulge.

So, I ordered these a few times in order to take photos…and I’d eat them all before I could. I know, it’s awful. Oh…and then there was the time that I roasted them over the gas stove burner. Ooooh aaaaaah oooah.

I used to have to order them online through Allerenergy…but I just found out while swiping a photo from their website (please blame my marshmallow addiction) that I’m in danger. They are in stores now in many States! They are in Brooklyn and Manhattan…thank goodness they aren’t in Queens or I might go broke!

FYI: The Marshmallow Creme I ordered was just one giant marshmallow…so I’m personally sticking with just the regular marshmallows.

Happy marshmallow roasting!

Kelly 🙂

Wow this is great. We are just finishing our first grueling year of corn free and gluten free eating. Marshmallows have been tough for my 4 yr old to give up. This is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Chelsea…so happy to help with the Marshmallow quest! 😀 And I’m sure your girl will be delighted!

Corn-free sucks at first when you realize that EVERYTHING processed has corn it…maltodextrin…citric acid…vegetable cellulose. But after this first year it will become second nature. AND…the blessing in disguise…is you are escaping the Standard American Diet and teaching your children to eat mostly whole, clean, unprocessed foods! Let’s roast a corn-free marshmallow to THAT!!!!!

It’s sounds great gluten & corn free but they contain modified tapioca starch not sooo good for us….

I have an autistic daughter who is gluten, wheat, dairy, corn, grains, and bell pepper free. I am not a cook but these foods do cause behavioral and physical ailments. I am looking for some snack and candy foods for her. Do you have any recipes and places to buy these items. I read your marshmallow blog and would like to make some rice crispy treats without butter(haven’t found a butter she can have). Any information would make it easier for us. Thanks, Jennifer.

What is the brand name of these corn-free marshmallows?? That AllerEnergie link is down. I’m hoping I can get some in Canada 🙂

    Corn-free is so frustrating…
