A Big Fat Honor

2 Comments 09 June 2005

We find it to be a big fat honor indeed for having received the 2005 Editors’ Award for Online Excellence from The Morning News. For some time now I’ve been a regular The Morning News reader for their interesting stories and handy news resource, but mostly because it makes me feel like a smarty pants. So, you can imagine my suprise when their smarty pants editors chose us for this award. Thank you, TMN.

Found your site while searching out restaurants for my son who is a celiac working on and off this summer in White Plains. You have a very nice web site, very informative and nice to read. I especially liked the story about Eliz. Hasselbeck who is a native Rhode Island as are we.

If you know of any restaurants he could eat at, we would really appreciate the information. He is also allergic to soy so chinese restaurants present a problem.

Keep up the good work – Celiacs helping Celiacs.

    Hi Chicks,
Just wanted to let you know that gluten-free diets are a hot topic at Elderhostel–my initial postings on their discussion board have generated over 1700 hits so far, and some interesting responses. This is after my initial mention at your website about a year ago. (Elderhostel is an organization that specializes in educational travel for older people. Their catalogues have thousands of trips going all over the world.) Their website is http://www.elderhostel.org.
    Thanks.

Hey...

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Kelly Courson and this is where I've shared my gluten-free finds since 2003. The world has been my gluten-free oyster for 14 years now and I love sharing what I've learned in order to help others adapt to a gluten-free diet. Have a look around and feel free to leave a comment. Connecting with people like you is what has kept me going this long! Seriously.
