Last year I was contacted by Eric Olson, an NYU film and journalism student. He wanted to center one of his projects around celiac disease and used me as one of his subjects. I never heard back from him so I just forgot about it. It was fun, but I was a little surprised at how uncomfortable the camera made me feel. Remember when Cindy on the Brady Bunch went on that TV game show and froze when they went on the air?! Well, I sorta felt that way. At least looking at Cindy's hair makes me feel a little better about mine.
Well, Eric emailed me the other day with a surprise! He finished the video:

Dr. Green is fantastic, as usual.
Film notes you probably don't care about:
*Don't miss the lovely garbage bags on my sidewalk. Welcome to Queens!
*Any "stuff" you see laying around my apartment...it's camera equipment, OK?! (That's my new line.)
*The unattractive looking gooey mess I'm baking is actually a batch of my famous Peanut Butter Bars.
*It took hours of practice to get down that contemplative look on the park bench. Not really, I was just cold.
*And, yes, that sound is me giggling while they are filming me eat.
Thanks again for helping out with more celiac disease awareness, Eric! It was fun!
