My friend Amanda and I went undercover yesterday at lunch to check out the rumors about the gluten-free cupcakes sold out of a truck. I invited Amanda along as a gluten eating taste tester. She told me, "OK, but I'm only doing this for you." She's so self-sacrificing.
And the rumors are true! The gluten-free cupcakes are supplied by Everybody Eats bakery. Amanda said that her cupcake was good and she couldn't tell it was gluten-free.
I brought a cupcake back to the office for Kim. She said, "It was OK, not the best gluten-free cupcake that I've ever tasted, but not bad either." She's such a cupcake snob.
I couldn't taste the cupcakes because of my additional corn allergy.
The Cupcake Stop truck only sells gluten-free cupcakes for $3.25 every Tuesday for now. You can find them right by the Flatiron building on 5th avenue between 22nd and 23rd street.
Have you tried one yet?
