Bittersweet news: Arizona's Gluten Free Creations Bistro is no longer open to the public. They needed to use the bistro space for expansion into the wholesale market. Their goods are still available via online, phone and at local establishments.

CNN Newsroom anchor Heidi Collins is now the official spokesperson for the NFCA. Yay! Now there is finally a respectable public tv figure who is not afraid to speak up about celiac disease! Thank you Heidi!

Buzz around town: It has been confirmed that an allergy-friendly restaurant will be opening soon on the Upper West Side. I've spoken with the owner, who is educated about celiac disease and will be making sure the restaurant caters to those who eat gluten-free. I'll keep you posted.

The ChickCouture Awareness Store is now open with new fun items available. We are so floored that one of our first customers was from Finland! Whoa! Remember that there is FREE shipping until Dec. 20th for orders of $50 or more. Have fun shopping!

Jamie Flecker, Long Island's R.O.C.K. leader, is also a travel agent who specializes in special-diet excursions. She's organized her first annual celiac group cruise, open to all celiacs, families and friends! The cruise will take place on The Royal Caribbean Adventure Of The Seas, June 24-July 1st.
The cruise is 6 1/2 months away, so a $500 deposit for a cabin is all that is required. 3 months prior to departure, final payment is due.
